Here's to the youth of today -- cheers!

Web 2.0? Social Media? Content Marketing? What the heck happened to good old direct mail?

Ladies and gentlemen, if you're like me then you're also trying to figure out how to employ the new tools of marketing to sell your products and get your content noticed.

Let's face it: you've got to play to win, and the name of the game is online communication. You need go no further that the 2008 Presidential election. There's a reason the Dems smashed through the age barrier and got the 18-30 year olds to vote for their ticket in unprecedented numbers. Twitter, Facebook, blogs, and so on.

A great resource for an overview on how to use social media within your organization is the free monthly interactive newsletter ContentWise. The December issue features ways to measure the effectiveness of social media. Always a good thing.

I would also recommend a visit to Junta42. Joe Pulizzi is an aggregator of content marketing topics has tons of articles and blog links on the subject at hand.
